Mine have shown up on March 7th so I'm scanning the skies

I totally understand- the time of year when nothing gets done in the house because my heart AND body are outside scanning the skies- at least twice a day. Hubby gets to join me in the evening when we sit and watch them come home. I do hope mine return.

I heard that familiar sound this morning about 8 o'clock . I saw three circling overhead. My houses are empty tonight, but at least I know they are in the area. I'll be out on the porch scanning the skies in the morning!

Please forgive my ignorance. I ordered a winch system, but we are using the counter weight with our S&K fountain racks. Do I have to remove my counter weights or can I just add the winch. I'm confused

If I'm reading the catalogue right, both the excluder, modified and crescent openings are all designed for the purpose of excluding starlings. I had this set up last year. I used the crescent openings, so I plugged the round entrance. However, you can see by the picture that it made for an awkward entrance.
