This morning I had a male and female arrive.They flew around for a while and then they went out feeding. I am glad to see them.

Hey,D 'Nese, the gourd hanging arms I purchased from Birds Paradise .They are made for the T 14. Thanks for the comments.

Has the winter issue of the update been sent out yet?

They are a little bit early this year but I hope they can judge the right time and hope its is spring. It is early for them because we still could have some winter whether. Hope you have a good martin season.

I have three birds staying now, two males and one female.It is going to be rainy all day today ,so they probably wont get to feed much today.

I had a male and female stay this evening. I have had three or four come by the last three or four days but none of them stayed. The pair this evening stayed. Look forward to the season. I hope everyone else has a good season.

yes Bill i use white pine needles they like them very well and i put about a good handful in each gourd.And i sprinkle just a little bit of seven dust and this helps keep the mites down.

I use a little cedar shavings ,but mostly i use white pine needles.They keep it dryer underneath ,and I use some oak leaves.

Gobbler T,it is 6inch and about the same size as a troy horizontal gourd.

Joeincan,it looks long ,but it is about the same size as a troy horizontal gourd,and is actually not that heavy.

i just wanted to show a homemade martin gourd that i made. It is made out of a vinyl fence post with a conley 2 entrance. It has a clean out on the other end and two pvc 90's for vents. The gourd slides onto a gourd mounting arm. I have my pictures posted now !

Glad to hear that you have a bird do you know if it stayed tonight?I still have only two right now.
