I was wondering if any of you have this type , with the four upper rooms , do you have them open and if you have any problems with them. we have ours shut down because a couple
of years ago we had problems with loosing the babies. it was too hot there and also we had a hard time checking that area.

we now have up to 20 martins, yesterday we had 8 more came they when to the houses instead of gourds, so had to open more rooms because had only two rooms open we have 6o bo 11 plus and 2 regular. two house with 8 rooms each. and then two more house with one has 12 rooms and the other has 10 rooms. ...

are aluminum houses colder than the gourd
I have not opened yet because I feel that they are colder than the aluminum ones.

We had 12 visitors today, pretty much stayed all day. Tonight we have at least a couple stayed.

we had 2 visitors today 2/1 probably males.

Looked out this morning and saw a martin looking around the shed in the back yard, went to look found one baby down, returned him to the nest after trying to figure out which one he came from. we were lucky we had just did a nest check the day before.

nest check 5/26 we now have 325 babies, 86 eggs with 1 has already fledged. total of 81 nest I only 5 empty rooms left . we had added 4 guords and the next day they were already occupied.

we have 116 eggs, 299 babies in a total of 80 nests.

We did finally check today, we have 1 baby left. We fedged 324. They will come to visit in the morning arriving around 9 and afternoon leaving around 2 and 3.
We ave a couple of them hanging around all day, till the last one leaves the nest.

seen our first scouts today 2/12/23. They came to visit this am around 8am, then left, but later this evening they returned and stay the night. Our site is about 3 miles from where the lady that sold her property and the people that brought did not want her colony. so she had to remove all her house...

Sorry to hear that you are moving, your set up for great setup. Your setup for not the only one to go, there was a nice set up on 2001 close to town and it seems that for the last 3 to 4 years, the houses are leaning and in bad shape no longer being taken care. we still have ours but at least we do ...

After the loss of 7 , se send one, but in a day and half haven't seen any. We have been have 8 days of freezing . We have a pair of qeese with 8 babies living in the park near our home. the pond is frozen we having taking over some corn for them. broke some the ice so they could get water. right now...

The last two days with the temperatures so low, we lost a total of 7, two yesterday and 5 today. Last night temp was 5 degrees with 6 inches of snow.

Check the houses this evening, found that we have two new babies born between 7/6 and7/9 in a nest that earlier had o 5 that fledged.
We now have 11 babies left , with a total so far of 304 fledged.

So far this year we have 73 raising right of 28 eggs left, 206 babies, and a total of 106 fledged. Even after the bad weather last night, no causalities. Still so far no lost, have been treating for bird mites , but not many nests are infected. The sparrows have been not giving us much of a problem,...

We have fledged a total of 273 so for , for now we have one house outfront with 4 babies with one to go any day. And other 3 in about two to three weeks. We have had 72 nests this year in all our houses and guords. With the guords having the most.
