They kept fighting, even after lowering the housing, and even looking in the compartment.
The male that was not winning the spat, flew out after a few minutes. The male that won, was so proud, and protective of his winnings, that stayed in the nest, even after I pulled the nest tray out. My reason for pulling the tray out, was after seeing he was sitting tight in there, I wanted to make sure the reason he was staying put, was that he wasn't hurt.
Turns out he was in perfect shape. He just did not want to give up his winnings!
The first photo is him, sitting in the nest tray.
The second photo is him, after rushing back to that compartment, before the house was even lifted all the way up.
