Mine have just started hitting the oyster shells the last couple of days. They are much easier and they seem to like them better. I have been using them the last 3 years (counting this year). I put them on two raised platforms and my mocking birds and martins will sit together and share them.... :gr...

Harold, I had about the same thoughts. I had all my gourds down yesterday to finish getting ready for the season. (cleaning plus adding six more gourds). For years that is what we used seven dust for.....fleas.
We would cover the dogs, cats and then throw it around the bottom of the house as well as under it.
It would kill the fleas on the animals in just a few minutes.

Thanks for posting Kathy. He obviously was a great guy and I loved his sense of humor. This guy obviously thought a lot of him as well. You could see it in his eyes. I can imagine. I have always thought I did not want any more than 25 to 50 birds max.
I don't know why but I think with more than that I would really stay confused (not mentioning the extra work and worries)

You cannot leave them on the ground here in south ga.
The fire ants will kill them in less than an hour...
Anywhere but the ground and they may have a chance....but none at all if they are left on the ground.
