I appreciate all the input, and I will keep the k 18 unit up for awhile ,I have been adding one new unit each year , my like by far is the Trensetter 12 and the birds prefer it also on a 3” sq pole and winch system, all mine are on 3” square pole with winch

Third year to host martins , got k18 up two years , horizonal troyers , sunset inns on dual purpose , 12 cavities , up two years , trendsetter 12 first year , both housesing units full of eggs and young , k 18 , big lean zero

Doing a nest check today I saw what appeared to be a dead Martin with wings spread open in back of compartment in a trendsetter 12 house , as I reached in to get it out it was alive , I got her out and released her to the air , looked back in and saw the purple male released him to the air , no eggs...

I would use a 22 or shotgun as I live in the country but the starlings won’t let me get even 50 yards of them , destroyed 3 nests and a egg in each of the starling nest today

How was the turkey hunt ? I do that also for a long time

Well I see your in Florida I believe, here in South Arkansas I saw the start of the nest building and remodeling today they getting on with their business of reproduction

I got a good location , I have zero sparrows and Starlings, im not whining , I'm happy I've got Martins and many of them after investing in proper housing this year , I'm just stating the facts
