PM's and Wild Cherry Trees
Anyone got any knowledge of why the Martins love to hang out in Wild Black Cherry trees , I do see them bringing some leaves back to the nests but not that much , the tree is large, about 100 yards across my garden and loaded with green cherries, thought that maybe some bugs on the cherries , the Martins hang out in the top thrashing in the hanging cherries a lot

Its likely just the leaves they are after. Mine have the same activity in my poplar trees. They have a hard time tearing the entire leaf of at the stem. They usually just tear of a piece of the leaf, likely the thrashing activity that you are seeing. Are your martins laying eggs yet?
