Our first martin was 2 1/2 weeks early, then the others were almost three weeks later than usual. I have the normal amount now, but haven't seen but one subbie.

Gene, try to make amends very quickly. Martins are already arrivng at a few sites in Dalton. Apologize sincerely and offer to plant anything she wants where ever she wants. (After all, it will take even a wild cherry a few years to grow back to 30 feet.) Best wishes for a truce.

My racks are in our front yard. This is looking from the side, east to west. The trees in the distance are much farther than they appear - several hundred feet. We do have one rack in the back that supports 16 gourds.

My dad always said that you couldn't freeze an insect, and I think maybe he was right. No matter what the weather, we always seem to have an abundance of insects come warm weather!!
