Numbers Dropping at the Tulsa Roost

Last evening we went by the downtown Tulsa roost as it got dark, and it was clear that the numbers are beginning to drop quite a bit. The ones that are left are still concentrated in two places both on Archer St.. The blocks between Main & Boston and Boulder & Cheyenne are where most of the birds are spending the night. There are still some martins roosting at the jail complex on Denver north of Archer. Looking at the weather radar Sunday morning, it looked like the largest part of the ring was moving to the southeast which would be along the path of the Arkansas River. So maybe these birds will add to the numbers in Shreveport, Dallas or Corpus Christi as they keep moving south.

Bob, thanks for posting the pictures. I also enjoyed seeing the picture of your martin houses with the rainbow in the background.
