The last nestlings fledged about 3 weeks ago but still getting lots of martins in the mornings...none in the evenings. They probably spend the night at the Lewisville roost and show up here around 8am and hang around till noon or a little later. Almost 11am and the rack is still covered with about 20 martins. Anyone else seeing this?
Here's a pic I took about 8:30 this morning.

Dale,
I am in Virginia Beach VA, nowhere you but my last babies fledged about the same time as yours, maybe a week earlier. I still have visitors in the morning and at dusk. It seemed the same six or seven kept returning; at night they go in and out of the gourds, in the morning they sit and sing on the house. Last night was the first time I saw no one and they didn't come this morning. I am still hoping for tonight but I'm afraid they are all gone now. We went to the Martin Festival in NC on Saturday, it was very informative and I hope there are more in years to come. I guess until next year we will just have to miss them and wish them well in their journey. Good luck to you fellow Martin lover.
