Daytime Behavior (New Setup)
After moving and setting up a pretty ideal Martin spot, I'm getting a lot of visitors but no stayers over the past month. This last week or so, I have an ASYM and 2SYF that come daily, go in and out of all the gourds (6), the M sometimes fights off other SYMs- and then they leave at night. The M and F go in gourds together too, assuming mating. This is like a daily occurrence and I am wondering if they're just coming to my place for some Martin hanky-panky but live elsewhere?

... MJM ... Sounds like you are on your way to a new colony.. If they are spending the night, then your in.. Hopefully they will nest this year.. My first pair arrived on June 13th, so plenty of time this year for them to settle down.. Good Luck and keep us up to date on their progress..
