It was a very exciting morning to hear the beautiful sounds of of Purple Martins. I jumped up from drinking my coffee to run outside to see 3 Martins on the house, claiming their spot. Bluejays were trying to vie for air space but the Martins held their own. I missed watching for them at sunset, so I just went outside and started talking to them to see if they were in there. Happy to say, they responded with wings hitting the insides of the house! If you know, you know how happy this day is!!!

Martin Colony History: Have had martins 20 years, I have anywhere from 6 pair to 10 pair
yearly.
