Reaching out to those with experience in doubling Trio compartment size with a hole saw.

1) I have a brand new 3" Milwaukee "HOLE DOZER" hole saw with arbor. It is labeled as "multi-material". Wondering if this will work for cutting a hole between compartments in my Trio Grandpa and Trio Grandma.
2) Will I need to completely disassemble the house to perform this operation?
3) And if I need to disassemble the house, what type of backing material should I use for drilling (if necessary)?

Thanks in advance!

Royals 76 I used a 2 inch hole punch in my houses about 15 years ago. I punched the walls twice to make an oval hole, 2 inch by 3 1/2 inch. Haven't had any problems since doing this. I think a 3 inch saw will tear the heck out of the wall unless you take house apart and use a good solid backer.
