So last year I had my first PMs ever. 3 mating pairs and lots of morning visitors. Fledged 7 total. (42 HOSP)
I had my first visitor on May 26th and rest followed 2-4 weeks later. Hoping for their return plus the visitors.
Question - When would you suggest I put my houses back up (Still snow on the ground today). Thinking April 15 - thoughts?

First congrats on a successful season last year! April 15th sounds about right to me. I’d put it up and keep the holes plugged till some Martins show up. You can also look at the Scout Arrival Study’s previous years for your location and see when they normally begin showing up in your area.
You’ll find that as your colony matures they’ll start showing up earlier every year and then level out around the same time give or take.. This year there have been a lot of early arrivals it seems, so even with an older colony it can vary some years.. Good luck this year!

Thanks Phil,
I am anxious to see how many returns I have this year. Besides my 3 pairs, I had a lot of ASY males showing up in the mornings. I have 30 spots between houses and gourds, so looking forward (hopefully) to some expansion.
As a side note we are here on Amelia island enjoying your great weather. Are you in full swing with your PMs down here?
