I have been trying to replace the pole of my 30 year old purple martin grandpa house.
After the last 40 mph wind it blew over and bent in half (due to internal corrosion).
Fortunately the house is still usable and it had been closed up for the winter.

ERVA does not have stock for the SSP replacement pole $169.99 or the #27858 center section $38.99.

Does anyone know of any source for these poles?

Is it possible to use a swaged end galvanized steel antenna mast? Is the swaged end interchangeable with my existing pole?

I understand that 1.25" diameter steel fence top rail tubing exists, but I have not found it in stock locally.

Thanks,
Larry

Head to your local home Depot and look at galvanized electrical EMT pipe and galvanized fence pipe. I'm sure you can come up with some combination that will work for you.

Larry,
The galvanized pipe will work well, you could also buy a length of garage door winding rod, cut to fit, liberally coat with grease and run it through the center of your galvanized pipe. It will give it some real backbone.

Its unfortunate Erva has decided to go another direction.

Happy Thanksgiving!
