I have been fighting a male hosp that has been around my colony for about 2 weeks shot at him and missed him several times with pellet gun and he became very skittish well today his luck ran out and he has been eliminated I lowered the gourd rack and cleaned out the hosp nest it had 3 eggs in it my question is will the female stick around or will she leave I have never seen her.By the way my colony now has at least 15 to 20 birds spending the night and I have 2 nests with eggs.

Good job! Glad you got him. She may not return but be on the watch. She may get a mate and return, one LL named a female black window as they kept killing the males she attracted.
To get them after shooting the male, you could leave the nest alone, narrow the opening to 1 1/4 inches and place a black glue trap in the very bottom of the nest, place the eggs right on it. Watch like a hawk....dont leave unattended please.
She will go right in and you have her. Just for the future, your problem may be over now.

Good job on that sparrow, fantastic news, hard to get one who knows your after it.
