I could use some help. I have six older gourds that have no markings and I have no replacement caps or entrances. I have looked all over the web and can't find anything close. The access cap is about 4 inches inside diameter, 4 2/8 OD. I would like to find replacement parts before I throw them out.
Thanks in advance.

Definitely going to need pictures to help you out. Once you take a picture of the gourd you will have to edit the photo to bring the size down for it to post on the forum.

Elmo,

If those are screw on caps go to the container store and see if you can match it up. Take one of your cleanest gourds with you if you can. Most gourds use a generic screw on cap than can be found most places. For example. My S&K gourds use the same screw on cap that is used on a package of zip ties from Home Depot.

Finding parts for discontinued products by name can be hard but if you think outside the box a little you can get it done.

Making plastic injection molds is expensive so you'll find parts for one product will fit parts of another completely different product.

No matter what size a gatorade bottle is, the cap of one will fit all others.

As for the entrances, compare your entrance to the Troyer Vertical and Horizontal gourds and see if they match up enough to modify one or the other for a good fit. Also look to see if the S&K tunnels can be fit on to them in some way.

Hope that helps but pictures are great if you can get one up. There is somebody here with an answer. Make the picture about 100kb in size and it'll post up.

Good luck.

If you can't find the right lid maybe cut the threads off and intall a new port. Troyers have a port that's 4-1/2 od and SK has one 4-5/8 od. The sk port has a nice heavy duty lid.

Thanks all. I gave up and decided the gourds were old and I will dispose of them and get some new ones.
