Barn swallows in central PA

Last evening, I had 5 purple martins show up at my house in the southern end of Huntingdon County. I was sitting by our pond when 3 barn swallows flew by and started drinking out of the pond. I couldn't believe it. Two weeks ago we were plowing snow! Martins are fighting over gourds at our school colony this morning.

So many birds you all have seen that I have no yet seen.......barn swallows, tree swallows, chimney swifts, purple martins. But I don't blame them for not showing up around here. Our weather is absolutely awful!
