gourd rack starter bundle and upgrade ?

Hello all,
does anyone know if you can increase the distance between the two racks, upper and lower, on the gourd rack starter bundle with the upgrade to 12 troyers? I finally found a guy who is fabricating and then welding the owl guards for the troyer gourds directly to the arms, but I'm worried the two racks are too close together and the owl guards will enable an owl to reach another gourd. Any ideas of how to separate the two arm racks? thanks much,

If you could find the same size aluminum stock you might be able to join a short section to your existing hub using short straps bolted to your hub and the new piece. Second option would be to contact the supplier and buy just the hub section and add that to your hub.
