Well over the offseason I came up with some modifications that I could do to a simple S&K Bo Gourd. Here is my link of my previous thread on my Modification.

Then here is my Martins actually using my gourds. This is a SY pair that has 5 Babies as of today.

- Martin Colony History: 2016, put Troyer pole with 6 units Horizontal with Conley 11 Tunnels.
Had some visits (two sittings) last year. A visit this year 2017.
Very Nice looking addition...
Kyler, I guess you used the Troyer cap and collar on those gourds. It says to cut a1 1/4 inch hole and insert collar with caulk. The top of the cap area is not wide enough. It's about 2 1/2 inches wide. It looks like you cut out some of the side area on top. How did you do that a jigsaw or some kind of circle cutter? Did you use lexal to seal? Thanks
Dave

Thanks guys
Dave,
I used the Troyer Tunnel with Collar so I could attach it to the existing entrance plate that comes with the Bo Gourds. But with the access ports I used a white jar with lid that I bought from a warehouse supply place. They are 4 3/8 so I placed the neck of the port on the Gourd and traced around it. Then I eventually found out that they didn't fit so I had to cut out a little bit from the sides to allow it to side in. I used a Jig Saw for the cutting then I used Lexel with extra caulk on top of it. Probably wasn't needed but I did it anyways. Hope this helps!
