Not going to happen this year. I have had some low flyovers by martins. At least they know it's there. Sometimes when they buzz my house, they sing that familiar "chirp chirp." Almost sounds like they are saying "hello" to me. I consider 2017 a success despite not getting a nesting pair.
The martins have found it, seen it, buzzed it. I figure all this exposure exponentially increases my chances for next year.

Knowing where you are greatly increases your chances for attracting some martins next year as long as the housing is in a good location. You can learn what the martins think of your location if the migrating martins bring their fledglings in to have a look. Good luck next year.
