Here, in SE Michigan, the last thing I expected to see was an adult male Martin on October 17th. He was flying strong, landed on the gourd rack and looked great. We had a one short one-sided conversation and off he went. Sure made my day. Comments, please.

Very unusual indeed,i seen three martins on oct 2nd and thought that was late they were with several hundred tree swallows.Congrats on your late sighting!

Martin Colony History: Started trying to attract purple martins in 2012! It's finally happened in 2017! 5 years!!! ASY male and SY female came May 1st, fledged 5 babies!

Wow that is unusual! May have to start leaving houses up for them! My trio is still up! Hope he stops by! :) Thanks for sharing!
