My new T-14 is over run with house sparrows.
I just started trapping them.
If the population is reduced and no PMs are around, what bird would nest in this house?
Blue Birds do not like neighbors. Are there others that would take to this set-up?

Martin Colony History: 2016 Informed landlord now Have 2 pair returning from 2015 That is a miracle. Hoping for a very successful year, sparrow population on decline.
First house was plastic with crescent holes Had martins within a few days. Ignorant landlord gradually lost them
Then got Trio House and still lost most of them. Lots of sparrows

Congratulations & good luck trapping HOSP
I am up to 71 in 2 1/2 months & they keep coming in.
I plan to trap them all summer, all fall, all winter, all spring.
So keep it up & you will have a better chance of getting PM next season.

I have had the same problem. They are very persistent. But this winter when I feed the birds I will trap all the HS in Ford County, KS.
