of three eggs!!

Thanks Donna and Barb (Floridasunshinegoddess) for your words and advice! :)

My buddy helped me bring the pm house down and do a nest check this afternoon.
Boy, those martins were not happy campers. They buzzed us a couple of times, but as soon as we raised the house again, the female went right in.

I'm sorry about the picture quality..not sure what happened there.
Even so, you can clearly see three eggs.

I want to understand why I see the pair going in with dragonflies.
I fully expected to find babies.
All in good time though. I'm glad everything was in order in the nest and thrilled to have attracted pms so quickly.

Thanks again ladies!!

Pedro

Congratulations!!!!!!

With only three eggs she may not be finished laying. Depends mostly on the food quantity and size of compartment but you might want to check again in a day or so to see. If she does lay another egg you can calculate the date she laid the first. Martins lay one egg a day in the early morning hours.

Just think you will be seeing babies soon.
