I have a ASY pair in one of my gourds. Female is sitting on her eggs. In the gourd next to this gourd is another completed nest. I thought a second ASY pair made their nest in this gourd. I had not seen much activity in this second gourd, but left the completed nest. I have noticed the ASY from the neighboring gourd spend time at the second gourd, seems to be mainly when his mate comes out of their gourd.

Yesterday, I watched this male chase of a SY pair that were looking for a place to nest. I think the SY pair found a free gourd at another rack.

Is there anything I can do about this ASY male guarding the second gourd? I am not sure what pair actually built that nest, but he sure is guarding the gourd.

Bob, no, there's nothing you can really do. Perhaps once he starts feeding nestlings he will settle down, but this is pretty typical behavior at small colonies. It will improve as your colony grows also. Congratulations on your 2 nesting pair!
