JoLita, congratulation's on your arrivals. A male has been here since 3-8-15. He comes home alone every night. He arrived at least 2 weeks early. It might be another week before he sees another martin here. Good luck this year.

Fun to watch the progression northwards on the scout report map, and to read of the scouts observed by all. Keep those encouraging notes coming

My male martin has not showed up the past couple of days. I think he was just passing through. The weather is rainy here this morning but is supposed to clear off and warm
back up. In the meantime I'm trapping plenty of S&S.

Hi there fellow MO's. Congrats to LoLita and Craig Haddox! To Darryl, sorry to hear yours was only passing thru, but I'm sure things will get hopping for all of us soon enough. I've had martins show up earlier and in worse weather the past couple years where I had to supplemental feed for extended periods, so I expect they'll be showing up soon enough. It's so ironic to watch Arkansas and Oklahoma reports where some are reporting up to 2 weeks late, yet others still report earlyl, despite the deplorable extended winter conditions that plagued our southern states when so many martins were just migrating in.
Hmm - Timberdoodles, Killdeer and Scissortails active in the area already.
