I finally got out and went to the Oklahoma City roost this year. I brought the kids along, and it was awesome. The roost is located on the east side of Rock Town rock climbing complex, southwest of the Bass pro shops. It is a pretty good place. It is near the park with the boat rides, but far enough from being a nuisance to the buildings. I hope the stay in this location. Looked to be a few thousand birds.

Sam thank you so much for letting us know where they are. I am not familiar with downtown and was wondering where you parked to get to them? I am going there tomorrow and am trying to figure out the best place to be. I would appreciate any more info. you can give me.

Thanks Carol

You can park at the Bass Pro Shops or the parking lot just south toward the river. Then walk along the path toward the land-run statues on the river walk. You can see them from there. They roost in a large tree by the big blue grain elevator.

Thanks for the info. Sam but I think they have moved..Went tonight and saw some circling but did not land. I went to Chesapeake and journal record and they were not there. How do you go about finding where they might have gone?

Try the end of the river walk by the statues. That is where they were earlier. I'll be there on August 8th! Jim Ray, PMCA Chief Wildlife Biologist.
