This is my third successful season, with 41 fledglings (so far).

In my area, generally all of my nesting/fledging is done by now (if not before). About the time most of the other's had fledged this season, I had a new nest appear with 4 eggs - they hatched yesterday. I've never had any this late in the season, it's great that we've had mild temps this year, hopefully that will continue. Last couple of years we've had extended temps well over 100 degrees during this time, even a 114 degree day.

Do PM's ever have a second batch, or is this likely just a late nest?

On a different subject, I trapped 4 HOSP today!
2010: two pair nested, 1 bird fledged.
2011: starlings/sparrows destroyed nests. I shut down the house early to save PM lives.
2012: new T-14 with SREH, & a Beeman R7. Four fledged this year.
2013: Destroyed many house sparrows, but fledged 21 PM's!
