I know we have the martin arrival maps that give you an idea of martin landlords in your area, but is there a map or list that exists that shows where people trying to get martins and those who don't report arrivals? There could be people nearby that you don't even know about that you could help, form groups with, contact to help with a with a new community site, do presentations, etc. Just a thought.
I love the idea. I have been looking everywhere for other colonies. I believe anyone who loves the Martins would be willing to share their knowledge. I'm considering posting on Craiglist for other landlords. Tell me what else I can do to help. Let's do this!!
Love the gurgles

I'm already a mentor for my area. I was just trying to be a little more proactive.

- Martin Colony History: It took me 11 years to get martins. It finally happened in 2010! Been going strong, ever since! I have a 12-gourd rack, full and overflowing!! I love this hobby!
Hey, "suem" of Scottville, VA! I’m the “Kathy in VA” that Debbie Johnson just told you about. I live in Scottsburg, VA, a little over 2 hours south of you. Debbie kindly informed me about this Forum thread and told me that you were looking for other landlords in VA! She offered to pass on my contact information to you, but I wanted to post and personally say to you, “Howdy from another VA martin landlord!"
Debbie and I met and became friends thru this Forum and she has a very successful, rapidly-growing colony in NC and has been great to work with!
I’ll send you a private message soon so we can get to know each other and talk Purple Martins!!!
