Good year for my Martins

Sorry I haven't posted in a while.

I'm having a GREAT year with my martins.

Thus far I have increased to 10 nesting pairs (with some quirks I must admit; to be listed later)
I beleive this is in part due to the addition of a second house.

Of these nesting pairs I had a whopping 46 eggs laid.
I lost 3 to a particularly agressive Sparrow. [He will never attack ANY martin nest ever... ;-) ]
And 6 that didn't hatch. (4 of these were from the new Sub-adults)

That leaves me with a total as of the nest check yeasterday of 37 young in various stages of growth.

The feeding activity as really increased, the local bug population is really taking a beating this year. (YEAH!!!)

Miley, my twerking female has done well, she laid 5 eggs and all have hatched and they are about 5 days away from the fledge window.

Now for the weirdness. I have 2 femails in nest right next to eachother that seem to be "sharing" the same male.
He will land, check both nest several times and then feed the one he deems most in need.
Is this strange or normal behavior?

Anyway, that is my report so far. Hopefully we won't lose any more birds this year.
