Martin Colony History: Erected 1st house in 1997. Birds were checking it out before Mike got down from the ladder. Six cavities had a little colony 1st year. Grown to 88 cavities all gourds with near 100% occupancy. Most important factor for success is rain = bugs.

8) Awesome, Berndog. Many of the nests here contain 5 and 6, even 7 eggs. Given a big spacious cavity, protection from nest competitors, good weather, and plenty of bugs; PMs will lay larger clutches. Good luck to you for a great season.
Sincerely,
Laverne

Their has been a sy female comming around now for about 3 days but she does'nt stay all night . Hope that both of us end up with more than 1 pair but if not I will not complain.
