I did a nest check today and found 5 eggs. I have been watching the one pair of martins putting leaves in a troyer horizonial gourd for over a week.
I did a nest check last Thursday and did not have any eggs just full of leaves and pine straw I already had put in before the pair came. I had 1 pair last year and had 5 eggs and 4 babies fledged about 1st of July. Still hoping for some SY martins . I have been reading all the post on the forum and am happy for all who have been trying to get new colonies started and I am so glad to hear that DebA that you got your birds back and Mamabruff is still waiting for your birds. Don't give up. Here are a couple of pics of my birds on a pair tree and their eggs.
