After thinking my asy pair didn't make the trip and worrying whether or not I would have martins again, everything changed. About 9:00 am today my pair of asy's landed on the gourd rack and went right into their old gourd. There only about 3 weeks late. Then about noon a pair of sy's showed up. Looks like females but not sure yet.
Emil, keep sending the sy's to NW Indiana. I've got plenty of room.
Rich
They finally showed up!

Hi Rich,
Congratulations!
Over the years you will probably notice that your martins return earlier as the scouts get older. For more info, read:

It already sounds like this season will be better than last year for you.
Best of luck growing your colony,
Mary
