Has anyone set up a nbt in a very sparrow infested area.

I have been getting driven crazy by sparrows every time I drop my kids off a school. There is a back yard there that they are feeding cheap bird seed and I see hundreds of sparrows on a regular basis. Now I trap them at my house but I live in a new subdivision with no old buildings or sheds. So there for no nest sites for sparrows. I trap from the spring through to the fall with a repeating bait trap I tend to catch them in the two's and three's only about 20 a year. Now they seem to show up in groups and harass my tree swallow boxes until I catch a few. I think they are coming from other over populated areas and looking at mine. Would it be worth my while to try and find someone that would let my set up an s&s controller in that area. Would it catch enough in a couple week or a Month to be worth the trouble.

I seldom catch sparrows in my S&S, I have better luck with my Spar o door.
Another thing I saw once was a small version of the V-trap set on top of a pole, don't know if it worked.

I've always been able to keep the sparrows down by trapping them only in my yard. I do not believe that it would be worth while to do it elsewhere on the chance that the birds are coming from that populated place. If they are being fed, then they will probably stay there and nest there. If they nest at your place, you can always catch them with a nest box trap or your repeating trap.
I searched for Tree Swallow Boxes and found that 1 3/8 inch hole is all you need for them. I also believe trapping else where won't help you but it is a good idea to eleamanate as many as possible. If they stop feeding seed that Sparrows like and feed only what song Birds like this will help. I have made these changes and only get 1or2 a year which I shoot
