If you are attending the Iowa State Fair this year, try to stop by at the DNR building courtyard stage to listen to the Iowa Purple Martin Organization present "Purple Martin Basics" on Friday August 16th at 3:00 to 4:00. Here is a chance to get to know the organization first hand and maybe even learn something new about martins.
Its a great idea to promote purple martins at the Iowa State Fair. Thanks for all your efforts to get the Iowa Purple Martin Organization off the ground. We will see you at the state fair if plans hold out!

Hey Dave, I think we are going to try to make to the fair, not decided if we set up camp for the pot luck first or after. Will talk to the Grimm family and decide. Will be a busy weekend for you. GLAD YOU ARE SO DEDICATED FOR THE MARTINS!!!
