After 10 years I can say 5 fledged and 15 to go. This was sure a different year for me. I put 6 gourds on a line and had 4 pair.
I sat on my porch with binoculars in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other and enjoyed watching all the activity that goes on when the little ones leave the nest.
There were 5 eggs in the other 3 gourds and lots of feeding going on.
I have been doing a lot of reading and learning from the forum over the years but, today I had to share the good news.

Congratulations! My last nest fledged this morning while I was watching, also with coffee in hand and a camera. I didn't get the money shot, but the thrill of seeing the last one leave is a lot of fun.

They did return last night. And tonight also. I have to put up more places up for them to roost. When they leave the nest they land in a near by tree and thats where mom and dad feeds them.
I think the reason I got martins this year is because there was a colony about 1/2 mile from me and the owner sold the house and took the martin houses down.
