2015 -- FINALLY!! One pair, 4 fledged. We took a 2 week vacation to Alaska in May and returned to find our first pair!!
2016 - - 2 pair, 6 fledged
2017 - - 3 pair, 5 fledged
Is it difficult? I went out to lower my houses due to high wind and my Trio 24 Castle won't come all the way down. The cable has one strand broken and it's "bunched up" so it won't lower all the way. I'm thinking replacement with a little heavier cable.

- Martin Colony History: The 1972 St. Agnes flood wiped out all the Martins in my area. One day, in 1997-98, 5 or 6 Martins landed on the power wires crossing my back yard. I had no house for them. They kept coming back day after day. We got a martin house a few weeks later & they have been coming back every year since. I average 12-15 pair per year.
Larry:
We got SS Cable at Lowe's. In our store it was not located with the rest of the cable. It was in the section with screws/nuts/bolts/etc. They cut it to size for us & we got SS connectors in the same section.

Are you able to prop the house up with something? If so maybe you can cut the cable then fasten your new cable to the old with electrical tape and run it through.

Haven't done it. But envisioned putting a "C" clamp on the pole and letting it bear the weight of the gourd rack. Letting some more slack in the cable and unhooking the existing cable. Take the new cable and tape it to the old and then crank it through to the other side.

Thanks, folks. Sounds like a plan. When it warms up a bit, I'll get out there and figure out how it's fastened, how long, etc. I helped my FIL replace a rope on an M12K a couple of years ago and that's what we did. I just need to "git 'er done". Thanks again!
