Rehomed all my PM stuff. Good Luck and Best Wishes to All.
Similar thing here in SW MO (Joplin). Although I have 2 BB houses placed (so far unoccupied) further from my house than the PM house, I have so far caught only HOSP's in the S&S Nestbox trap on my back patio.... Until now! A BB girl went in early yesterday AM, and then she and her fella came back right after I released her, again trying to get in! Of course there was a pair of Starlings watching, and they ran the BBs off and tried to get into the closed trap! So I am thinking I will move the Trap, and place a BB house in its place...
Still waiting and watching for PMs and keeping a constant vigil against S&S! Love our native birds!

- Martin Colony History: Start 2009 with one pair. Upgraded from S&K houses to two Trendsetter 12's with gourds beneath in 2013. I have experienced job, pet, and parental losses since '13. The Purple Martins lift my spirits and remind me how life continues forward by flying their little selves from Brazil back to my yard. As one forum person once told me, chin up DebA, look at the martins. Danger all around but yet they soar in the sky without a care in the world.
I love Harris sparrows. Especially Mr. He is such a dapper looking fellow.

Harris's are an interesting bird. it's allmost like they pick Kansas as their winter home.
