After I poured my coffee this morning I did my usual check on my gourd rack and saw this beautiful male on my rack. I instantly went inside to tell my wife and came back out and there were two males. My holes were plugged so I went out to unplug them. I wasn't able to see if they came back this evening but it's starting to feel like spring!! Get ready they are coming!!

We had our 1st sighting on the 19th. Our gourds have been inundated with sparrows, so I have plugged all the entrances. But, this evening, I heard the song and witnessed several martins circling in the sky, so I opened 6 of my 18 units. As I sat on the patio and watched, martins went into 3 of the units. Very excited! I guess I'll open the traps tomorrow :-( That's the part I really do not enjoy. But...so be it! Happy day...It has begun!!!
