Lot more martins fling South tonight............

Had so ,any martins fly over head tonight There was n way to know how many. Must have been a thousand or so. They kept flying overhead for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. They just kept going and going. It was a sight to see. I could see totally purple ones and of course a lot of lite colored breasts. Must have been ASY females and the youngsters. I am sure some of them seen my set up. At the very end of the bunch there could be seen some chimney swifts in tow as well. We seem to have a few dragon flies flying around now since we got a 2 inch rain last week. We still are 15 inches short for the year! Hoping for better weather next year. Being in the high 90's and low 100's during the day for months didn't help with the bug food.
