Nesting Material
This is the first year I supplied nesting material (wheat straw) 1" thick. I watched them remove the wheat straw the past couple weeks as gourds became occupied with pairs. Now that nest building has begun they are using the same straw they removed earlier. Guess I created more work for them. Well at least they don't have to go far for nesting material. They are also using the straw I provide on a raised platform.

That's funny, guess you didn't have the straw arranged just right.
