We’ve had several really nice days of late. Temps in the upper 60’s and even up into the 70’s but no martins. There have been scout reports to the east, west and south of us but not here. Our first martin last year showed up on March 4th, second earliest in 20 years. Now this afternoon the temp was around 40 and at 5:00 it was down to 38 with light rain mixed with snow. And our first martin showed up!!! Looked out the back window and he was setting on the trio closest to our house. I grabbed a few mealworms and went outside to offer some to him. He caught the first one I tossed. He’s been here before. Don’t really know how many he ate but am sure he got his fill for now.

Luck to you all,

Frank
