Got home from work last night and had 2 pair sitting on the modified castle/with gourds. Switched to all crescent for this year and as usual my first returners were going in the same gourds as last year and they were using the crescents with no problems. Had another ASY male this morning. Two weeks early this year and had it not been for our cold weather the last week I believe they would have been here earlier. Dennis

Congrats Dennis! Sounds like from your post you had martins last year and the ASY's returned. I suggest changing your profile from "trying" to "active".

Congrats again!

Dennis,
Good to head about your new PM's --- they are starting to come in across the river from you --- Arnold, Mo. Good luck!

Dennis, I saw your scout report last night. Good deal. With today's great weather I'm hoping a few will show up at my place today. If not maybe I'll have to change my profile from active back to trying. I'm actually second guessing my housing location again. As you know from your visit, in order to avoid the trees I am violating rule number 3. "Housing placed too far from human housing. Research has shown that martin housing placed more than 120 feet from human housing has a lower chance of being occupied." Anyway I'm happy your ASYs made it back!

Oh don't work on changing that profile just yet LOL! I bet this weekend is your time. They will be back. You have a perfect setup and they will remember you were an active landlord-showing lots of presence around the housing. First day back and I walked right under their housing today and they stayed put. They used to beat it when I got close but I'm convinced they know me. Let me know. Dennis
