Hi Everyone!

Just thought I would check in as I had a few extra minutes before leaving for work this morning and share a few photos.

Happy Martineering!

Love 'That beautiful male'. So typical of those birds and his posture looks comical. But they were all very nice. So crisp and clear.

Nicole,

Great pics, you too could start your own calender. How did you get the pics of the martins in the gourd? Did they just stay in there while you lowered it, did you shoot through access cap? I had a female last year that would just stay in the compartment when I did my nest checks, that was pretty cool. What is your camera set up?

Again great pictures! Thanks for sharing!

Martin Colony History: I moved to South Florida, from Delaware, in August of 2015.

I care for a 6 condo Sunset House as well as two Deluxe Gourd Racks, with 24 Chirpynest/Excluder gourds, along a canal in Pompano Beach, Florida.

At Quiet Waters Park, nearby in Deerfield Beach, I care for a Deluxe Gourd Rack with 12 TVG's. I also care for a Deluxe Gourd rack with 12 Excluder gourds with Modified Excluder entrances. I am substituting 6 Chirpynest boxes for 6 of the Conley II entranced gourds in 2026.

At another local park, Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek, I care for a Trendsetter 12, 5 gourds rack with 60 Excluder gourds with Modified Excluder Entrances and 1 Deluxe Gourd Rack with 12 Troyer Vertical Gourds with Starling Stoppers over the Conley II's to keep out smaller starlings.

What a beautiful way to start the morning. Your martin pics are outstanding! I keep watching for some of the purple beauties to arrive in my DE yard.

I just LOVED your pics!

Being a first year landlord and this informative forum is saving my sanity as I deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Thanks so much for sharing those pics. Keep them coming!
