Hi everyone, we are having a great time reading all the posts. We have laughed out loud too many times to count
We are Dave and Judy. Just moved to NC last fall, from Kentucky. We had PM housing in KY, but never any takers. When we bought this place there were some old martin houses and the lady said that before her husband died, there were many, many martins. So we are trying again.
The housing that was here was pretty much garbage, all homemade wooden houses that were mostly rotting away. So we have put up some new housing for them.
I check the Scout Arrival page every day. That one spot there, on the coast with no arrivals reported, is where we are. Is there a reason that they aren't out here yet? Is this a normal thing?
Who am I to ask about normal. :???: Dave took a picture of the housing we put along the creek, three set ups and a perching tree. Well, I set up the picture as our wallpaper on this computer. We don't have high-speed internet offered here yet. So we sit and look at the screen for about a minute every time we get on the net. I can't believe it. I sit here watching those houses in the picture and looking for our first martin to fly by!! Geez.
Thanks for all the great information you have shared.
Judy
