Hello Everyone,

Does someone know of a website or a store where I can purchase some hollow aluminum rods suitable for extra perches? A TV antenna would be great but I don't want to spend that much.

I don't know if this will help you but at Lowes garden dept. they sell stacks for holding up your tomato plants that work great. They are green plastic covered, and very reasonably priced. I hope this will help. If not let me know I have another source.

Home depot or lowes both sell solid or hollow aluminum rods. Either one in 3/8 or 1/2 will do. I have used both and never had any problems.

I would try to lacate a scrap yard in your area - you will pay a fraction of what it will cost in a store.

I'm retired Navy but will assist a jarhead..eheh......I went to the local welding supply store and they carry 3/8" diameter solid aluminum rods which have worked great for me.......and not very expensive at all. I cut them into pieces with a hacksaw........

I use 3/8" soft copper pipe. I bought a roll a Lowe's a few years ago and just straightened it out on the driveway and as it ages it looks great.

Nesto,

You can buy those plastic covered garden stakes at WalMart. They come in different sizes and they're cheap. I've used them for many years.

Those all sound like great ideas. I will even admit the Navy had a good idea which can't happen that often. Sorry.....Geneinmurph...just kidding! We jarheads appreciated the taxi service!!!!
