We have a baby in our yard that can't fly and see no parent around.
Does anyone know what kind of bird this is?
Our Martins are too small to be this size.
Appreciate any info about this.

I think it's a bluebird fledgling, best thing to do is either lift it into a shrub or just leave it alone. The parents are surely watching it and feeding it. Just hope no cats are around!

Looks like a blebird to me too, way too young to fledge. Got mealworms? They'll eat em readliy if mama & daddy aren't around.

Thank You All!
The Blue Bird is probably the answer as there is one nesting in
the yard behind my house near the fence. We have so many
different birds around this year and I could not tell what kind
it was and didn't see any other bird around except a Mocking
Bird when the Baby was visible on the ground. When I went
back out later the baby wasn't visible for me to see, but we
have many hiding places it could have gone into and hopefully
is safe. I had never seen a baby blue bird before and most of
the adults are shy about being seen. I knew the baby
couldn't fly - it had tried when I took the photos.
Luckily NO CATS right now, we had just spent 2 weeks catching
a 5 wild baby cat litter plus parents (finally got them this year also)
2 weeks ago out of our greenhouse. We'd been trying for 2 yrs to catch
the mother cat as she has had litters in our greenhouse before and we
were worried about our Martins incase a baby got on the ground. I had one
do that before when the wild cat was still around. I was a nervous reck
that year and so were the adult Martins until the baby finally took to the air.
I bought a medium sized vented bug box right after that incident to
be able to put a baby in until the house could be lowered and placed back
in the nest, but I didn't know what kind this baby was.
