The Report:
All is well - NO Casualties!!!!
Yeah!!!
Thanks for everyone's prayers!
I'm ordering crickets tomorrow!!!
They fed well yesterday....
I went out this a.m. when they were on the houses and tried to flip some mealworms (The pet store sold them 1/2 price b/c they said they were small....my PM's just looked at me like I had gone crazy....
I stopped after about 50.
I'll have to try large crickets next time we have a cold day or two.
Best I can tell they ate none of the mealworms I put on the porches yesterday and it looks like maybe they ate 2/3rds of the tiny crickets I put in compartments in the middle of the cold streak. At best.
I'm going to pull my housing down tomorrow mid-day when they're gone and clean out everything left over.
Thanks again to all for the advice!!!

Thanks for the report Shari. I have scrambled eggs and crickets all over the place, in the B & B, on the roof. Very little takers. Flinging did not work. They looked stressed today, but should come around tomorrow with warmer temps. I'm going to wait till Tuesday and take the housing down to check for possible lost birds. Many of the martins were on the house and garage roof's today getting some warmth. Hopefully, I'll have no lost birds.
I'm a "nestcamaholic" Is 18 hours a day a bad thing? (I have 2 this year, luckily I have 2 eyes!)
