I am having some difficulty following the instructions of assembly. My main problem right now is connecting the cable properly to the sleeve. Not sure where the cable is to be attached. Also, instructions state to slide the 40" pipe into the top square tubing of the sleeve, but there are four tubings to choose from.
I would appreciate any detailed instructions from anyone familiar with this system.

Kenneth. Are all four of the tubings the same size, and appearance? Do you have connectors, or do the tubes slide into each other. I would think if either of these are true, then you could use either of the tubes for the top. I'm not familiar with the unit you have, just my thought on it. CUL Lou

Hi Kenneth. You have purchased a fine system. The cable runs upward from the winch-under the sleeve-- over the pulley and down the opposite side where it attaches to the bolt at the top of the sleeve in line with that side of the pole (the side opposite the winch). That pole will be sticking out to the side perpendicular to the side the winch is mounted on. So you stick that pole in and run its bolt through the washer, the cable end loop and then the sleeve and pole and attach with the nut on the underside of the rod holder.
Another option is to run the cable up the pole over the pulley and down the other side 6 or 7 feet. Then slide the cable over the pole and cable down beyond the end loop. (If it is too tight to pass over the crimp on the end loop you will need to loosen the six bolts of the sleeve). Once the sleeve is tight, the cable will attach to the rod bolt that lines up with the side the cable is on--the one opposite the winch. When finished add the top piece over the pulley.
Tips--be sure "V" notches on sides of sleeve are on the side of the pole so that they will line up with the stop pin up near the top of the pole.
On my gourdracks the bolt from one of the rodholders hits the stop pin before the "V" fully contacts the stop pin. This problem may have been corrected. If not grind about 1/8 inch off of each side of the stop pin so that the bottom of the V will make contact with it.
Lubricate the cable and the pulley setup well before you raise the pole.
Please feel free to email me if you have other questions. john
