I'm sure those of you who get the "Houston Chronicle" read the article on pg. 20 of the first section about the man who eliminated the starlings in Decatur, IL without chemicals, shooting or trapping. It's a great article but hard to believe. Obviously, it is true as the city of Decatur swears by it.

For those of you who would like to read this article and are out of this area and state go to www.houstonchronicle.com and search for "crow whisperer" scroll down to Chronicle results and it will be the first article.

What can you say? Its hard to believe. He scares them away with something, and I bet a lot of people are trying to find out how..This is really not the answer, they go to our martin houses when he chases them away!

Martin Colony History: Tried and tried and had some visitors but...not enough good insects around here to keep them interested.

He just goes out to the edge of town and uses 10% of the money he gets to buy “starling food" which he dumps where no one will see the birds. That's my guess anyway!
